Department of Electronics and Computer Engineering

The department of electronics and computer engineering has been offering four years undergraduate program in electronics engineering since 1994 and that in computer engineering since 1998. The current intake of the department is 48 students in Electronics Engineering and 48 in Computer Engineering.

In its history of more than two decades, the department has succeeded in producing capable manpower as per the demand for the development of electronics and computer field in the country. It graduates, counting about 1000 electronics technicians and more than 500 electronics engineers and computer engineers, have been widely accepted in the industry for professional services, and in different universities for their further studies. Besides the academic contribution, the department of electronics and computer engineering has also provided technical and supervisory support and services to various sectors of engineering and non-engineering fields.

The department of Electronics and Computer Engineering is equipped by highly sophisticated and precision electronics measuring and testing equipment, a large network of high speed computer, and more than 35 qualified and experienced faculties of different level. The knowledge and experience of these faculties along with the technical strength the department boast upon not only brings continuous improvement in academic process within the department but also responds to the needs of the fast-changing and emerging technologies outside the department as well.

Its products as bachelor in Electronics Engineering have been extremely successful in their professional’s fields. They have been widely accepted as Faculty members in various technical institutes and Engineering Colleges, as Engineer and System Administrator in diverse private and Government organizations and accepted as PG students in universities of USA, Japan, Germany and Thailand.

Graduates from MSICE program will be leaders in the planning, design, development, implementation and management of Information and communications Technologies to accelerate IT-led development.

Research training & Consultancy Unit

An academic institution like The Department of Electronics and Computer Engineering requires research and consulting activities to prevail and excel. The RTCU (Research, Training, and Consultancy Unit) has been formed to help fulfill these objectives of the department.

With the increasing use of electronic equipment and computerized systems in the various areas, the need for a sound technical support has become inevitable. Besides research and consultancy, RTCU also extends its activities in the service sector through technical support and training.
